Spectrum Noir Markers and coloring on glitter

I love, love, love alcohol ink and my favorite art hobby has been made super affordable thanks to Spectrum Noir markers which cost about $2 per pen verses the over $5 per pen price of copic markers. This is an easy how to video showing how to color glitter with alcohol ink markers! I hope you enjoy.

Grandma's Birthday/Nana Layouts and a tip

I have been spending a lot of time in my scrap room lately getting layouts done and getting my first how-to videos made. This is a layout I got done from many years ago, my mom's birthday and some cute pictures of Tyler with my Nana.

I created both of these pages using "stuff" from my stash. They are just simple layouts, but I love certain elements from both pages. The titles were created with vellum, and colored with alcohol ink markers. The circles were punched using my favorite trick. Call me a cheapskate, but I like to use every inch of my paper. So I use the back of the paper I use to mat photos or layers I use in a layout to punch or cut out shapes; in this case the circles I used to journal on the Nana page.
As you can see I get 6 circle punches out of each of these photo mats!

Thanks for taking time to look!

Simple and fun Layout: First Haircut

I love looking back on these "first" moments in my son's life. Since I am 8 1/2 years behind it is fun to see how far he has come, and to remember how stinking cute he was! I was very distracted while I was creating today so this simple layout ended up coming together over the course of many hours this afternoon, but I am glad to have it done.

Cloud Paper makes up the background
Title: DCWV Baby Boy title stack
Blue and white card stock for matting
Mosaic paper border: Cloud 9 Wood Stone collection Shades of blue Mosaic
Comb and Scissor Embellishments: fussy cut free digital stamps from google images
Colored with Artist's Loft watercolor pencils and T Prime Water brush which is the best because it does not untwist and spill water all over, plus I have complete control of how much water gets on the brush bristles
Blue dot paper: EK Success Over the Moon, Blue Gingham Flower border, cut with EK Success wave and dot border punch
"Sweetheart" edged in Zig Memory System Blue Jay
Journaling also done in Blue Jay
Pictures punched with Fiskars Heritage
